Social norms........is the culture responsible?

A few days back , a friend of mine mentioned that she was searching for a place for about a month as her fiancee was coming over from abroad and they wanted to spend some time together.

The idea was fine but had just one problem......to find a place to stay and most importantly to shut people up.I personally feel that in our culture and our society doesn't allow this kind of freedom and there is a lot of untold interference.There is something terribly wrong with peoples mindsets when it comes to accepting a relationship between two adults who are in love.Not everyone is open to this idea and at times it creates a lot of trouble in their respective families.I have had a lot of friends who didn't and couldn't talk about their love life with their families for some kind of unknown fear.

I guess a lot of it has to do with the way we Indians see things.Now let me clarify that I mean no offense to any one or any section in particular , but sadly ost let go of their habit of pocking nose into everyone's affairs and make our society a more already diverse and dynamic society a more tolerant one.
